What should students expect in your classes?
A powerful flow with strength, sweat, energy, challenge and fun. Expect upbeat music, strong movement, lots of encouragement and tons of options that allow students to make the practice their own, whether they want to dial things up or pull things back. My classes are designed to leave you feeling stronger than when you walked in. We can do hard things. By proving that to ourselves on the mat, we take that proof out into the world and we can actually believe in our own power.
When you're not practicing yoga, what do you like to do?
I love spending time with my partner and children, family, friends, being outdoors, traveling, reading. Equal parts beach lover/country lover.
What/who inspires you?
My two teenage sons who are disciplined, resilient and a whole lot of FUN!
“My classes are designed to leave you feeling stronger than when you walked in. We can do hard things.”
What do you love about yoga?
Yoga has been a constant in my life, something I can always count on no matter what season of life I am in. My practice is something deeply personal to me, something I care about, protect and continue to grow alongside. It has also connected me to some of the most beautiful human beings and has given me a true sense of community that I am incredibly grateful for. I love that yoga can challenge you, ground you, humble you and strengthen you all at the same time.
What challenges you in yoga?
Listening to my body and asking my ego to take a back seat. I naturally love to push myself physically. Yoga constantly reminds me that strength is not always about doing more.
What are the MOST important things you want your students to walk out of your class having experienced?
I want students to leave class feeling proud of themselves for showing up. I want them to remember that we can do hard things. I hope they leave feeling more connected to themselves and more connected to the collective energy of everyone sharing the space with them.
